Full, unfiltered message history
With Premium, you can read all text messages, images, and videos in any of your protected user’s conversations. Scroll back through the full history at any time — everything is visible, including timestamps and the delivery status of each message.
Every conversation — individual and group
Both one-to-one chats and group conversations are fully visible. Archived conversations are included. Chats are listed with the most recently active first, making it easy to see what’s been happening.
Useful even when message approval is enabled
Even if you’re already approving every message, reading chat history gives you something approvals alone can’t: context. You can see how a conversation developed over days or weeks, spot gradual shifts in tone, and understand dynamics in group chats that wouldn’t be visible one message at a time.
Your child never knows you’ve read their messages
ChatMinder has no read receipts for anyone — not for your child’s contacts, and not for you as the guardian. Your child sees no indication when you’ve read their messages. This keeps the experience pressure-free for them while keeping you fully informed.
Co-guardians can also read chats
All co-guardians of a child — when at least one of them has Premium — can read the same chat history. Both parents in a shared arrangement stay equally informed without needing separate Premium subscriptions.
See AI risk scores alongside each message
When reading a conversation, each message shows its AI risk score — Safe, Low, Medium, or High. This gives you instant context when reviewing a chat: you can see at a glance which messages triggered attention and why.
Double tap a message or long press it to bring up the Message Options and select Message Insights.
A tool for informed guardians, not surveillance for its own sake
Reading your child’s messages is most useful when something seems off — a shift in behaviour, a new contact, a feeling that something isn’t right. We recommend being transparent with your child that their messages can be read, and using this feature as a grounding tool rather than a routine check.
